About The Position

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking to hire a Director, Business Unit Administration for the department of Campus Health Services. The Director oversees the administrative, human resources, finance, and budgetary activities of the department, providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing operational budgets, managing revenue cycles and ensuring compliance with the department’s policies, procedures and protocols. This position works directly with the Senior Director of Student Affairs, advising them on the department’s operations to advance the strategic, academic and clinical goals of the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 11 (Salaried)

Responsibilities

  • Direct the finance and business services administration of the department's clinical components including preparation, analysis and forecasting of the departmental budget and financial statements, accounts receivable, and practice productivity consistent with internal and external compliance in support of the strategic goals of the department
  • Assist the Senior Director by making recommendations to meet current budgetary commitments and future obligations
  • Analyze and audit systems, policies and procedures and initiate operational changes to provide effective business management and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and ensure adherence to healthcare financial regulations to mitigate risks
  • Oversee accounts receivable and make recommendations for clinical and other external contracts based on pro forma analysis
  • Oversee revenue cycle management to maximize revenue collection and optimize billing processes; analyze revenue streams and identify inefficiencies to improve cash flow and minimize losses
  • Leverage healthcare talent management solutions and oversee and participate in processes to recruit, hire and retain healthcare professionals and staff, including effectively directing and managing personnel and providing guidance related to staff training, performance evaluation, organizational structure and compensation practices
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the department’s budgeting, accounting, purchasing, financial and human resources processes
  • Make recommendations related to organizational structures and establish new positions in response to departmental needs, including clinical operations
  • Oversee and monitor central billing office activities including overseeing billing services audits to assure compliance for reimbursement of services provided and compiling data for evaluation and reporting as necessary
  • Participate as a member of the Student Affairs Lead Business Team as well as the Campus Health Services Lead Team
  • Directly supervise six full-time professional staff
  • Assist with other Division initiatives and operations as necessary such as freshman orientation, Welcome Week, and resident move-in events
  • Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned
