About The Position

The Director, Business Strategy leads the development and execution of organizational vision through comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning. This role oversees change management initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional business programs to enhance operational performance. By collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders, the Director drives decision-making frameworks, monitors progress, and ensures alignment with business objectives. The position also focuses on talent development, ethical leadership, and fostering partnerships to support sustainable growth and continuous improvement across the organization. The team drives strategic prioritization and transformation by developing and managing processes, coordination, and reporting mechanisms. They create insights and materials to support leadership communication on priorities and performance. Responsible for planning leadership forums, they ensure focused discussions with clear outcomes. The team connects cross-functional groups across business, finance, and stakeholders to maintain alignment. They lead strategy development, workstream execution, governance, and operational analysis, leveraging data to identify trends and enhance service. Deliverables include whitepapers, presentations, and facilitation of governance forums, supporting effective decision-making and organizational progress.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational vision and market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding cross-functional teams and managing change initiatives effectively.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, define performance metrics, and communicate strategic plans to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing process improvements and driving operational excellence across multiple projects.
  • Skilled in talent development, including mentoring, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
