About The Position

Quanta Services is seeking a Director, Business Operations to drive operational execution, cross-functional coordination, and strategic initiatives on behalf of executive leadership. The role works closely with leadership to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, drive execution, and ensure leadership has timely access to relevant data and analysis. The Director acts as a trusted advisor and force multiplier, combining detailed financial and operational analysis with ownership of cross-functional initiatives through completion. The position partners with executive leadership and leaders across operating companies and functions, leads special projects, monitors performance and risk, and develops recommendations and improvements. Travel is required for approximately 10–20% of the time, driven by leadership and initiative needs, with occasional overnight travel. The work environment is a standard office environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of progressive experience in business operations, strategy, finance, or a related field, including experience supporting senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results without direct authority over all stakeholders.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to build a business case from scratch.
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership or the board.
Ability to manage multiple complex, concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort operating in a large, decentralized, multi-business-unit organization.

Nice To Haves

MBA or other advanced degree.
Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
Experience within construction, energy, infrastructure, or another operationally intensive industry.
Experience supporting M&A due diligence or integration.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with executive leadership to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, workstreams, and measurable outcomes.
Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple departments or operating companies, driving alignment, accountability, and progress against deadlines.
Build financial models, operational analyses, and business cases to support decisions about investment, resourcing, and process changes.
Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and board materials that communicate performance, risk, and recommendations.
Identify operational inefficiencies and process gaps, and lead the design and implementation of improvements.
Coordinate between executive leadership and operating company or functional leaders on priority initiatives.
Manage special projects assigned by executive leadership, from initial scoping through execution and results reporting.
Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics, proactively flagging risks and opportunities to leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
