About The Position

The position is responsible for leading the specified product business activities within Hiab USA, Inc & Hiab globally according to the business strategy and our customers’ needs. Director, Business Line has full local P&L, E2E contribution margin, local OP contribution accountability in Division result. Developing & achieving the forecast, budget, volume, price realization of current products along with future product roadmaps & introductions is critical.

Requirements

  • Relevant educational background on technical and commercial subjects (Bachelor’s Degree/academic level)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience of senior business management in the industry and demonstrable, advanced understanding of load handling business and Hiab product knowledge
  • Proven leadership capabilities of high performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Enter market(s), enter segment(s), grow existing markets & segments
  • Own and drive the development and implementation of the product business strategy within the entire Sales area ensuring collaborative & coordination across primary and secondary divisions and business units within Hiab
  • Implement business execution plans in line with agreed global strategy & account plans
  • Local P&L Management – Develop and forecast yearly sales and order intake targets that meets or exceeds plans
  • Develop, monitor and control division sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify activities and measures to consistently meet or exceed targets
  • Market share growth
  • Keen awareness needed for understanding of competition in the United States for product
  • Creation, consolidation and implementation of the product business plan together with the sales channels & various routes to market
  • Increase customer satisfaction
  • Lead and develop the team and organization to work efficiently towards common objectives
  • Drive business development of new products, gaps with existing products/markets, and adjacencies
  • Analyze and interpret sales & financial data to identify trends and opportunities for increasing sales of products and services

  • Ensure that BL products are developed with local requirements in mind
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (e.g. bodybuilders, customers)
  • Strong collaboration with division product management
  • Collect local feedback and provide it to division product management
  • Ensure product documentation is available in local language
  • Support employee, dealer, and customer training facilitation
  • Understanding of all CSC competitors including strengths, weaknesses, and strategic plans
  • Determine solutions for new segments
  • Determine solutions for sustainability requirements and strategy
  • Be the “product technical expert” for the assigned CSC
  • Ownership of product E2E GM for the CSC
  • Responsible for the business development for the respective BL
  • "White Spot" analysis to determine new opportunities
  • Develop local actions to drive order intake
  • Responsible for all Value Selling initiatives for the CSC
  • Work closely with CSC stakeholders to develop an executable short & long term strategy
  • Spend time with end users, customers, dealers, & body builders, to gather product insights for both technical and commercial aspects
  • Support the RtM strategy and ensure the correct profile for the business line
