About The Position

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is seeking a Painter for a summer role to paint ski lift infrastructure, including lift stations and towers. Requirements

  • Must be comfortable working at heights in accordance with established safety procedures and using fall protection systems.
  • Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete assigned work safely and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Follow all LLSR policies, procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rope experience, either commercial or recreational, is an asset.
  • Experience with industrial coatings, surface preparation, and corrosion control is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is an asset.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and safety-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction with minimal supervision when required.
  • First aid certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist outdoor summer painting projects as assigned, including ski lift stations, towers, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform surface preparation, coating application, and corrosion protection work on wood, metal, and structural surfaces.
  • Prepare work sites using power washing equipment, scrapers, sandpaper, grinders, and other surface preparation tools as required.
  • Work at heights on ski lift towers, terminals, and elevated structures using approved access methods including ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, and fall protection systems.
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks and other work projects as assigned, including support of other trades where required and within ability.
