Requirements

  • BA/BS minimum requirement, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience required.
  • Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is required.
  • This role requires up to 15% domestic and international travel.
  • This role can be based out of Titusville, NJ, Springhouse, PA or Raritan, NJ with the ability to travel frequently between locations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in licensing and/or M&A preferred.
  • Experience in Finance and/or business analytics preferred.
  • Oncology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads business development activities, including coordinating business case development, providing input on proposed deal structure and terms and negotiating term sheets and contracts with Partners.
  • Works as a core member of the Oncology business development team, collaborates with Therapeutic Area leadership, External Scientific Innovation and other Sr. Management to impact decision making
  • Prepares briefing and discussion materials on recommended transactions.
  • Manages concerns, risks, and issues during negotiations by addressing questions and problems through analysis, research and seeking internal stakeholder feedback.
  • Leverages consulting, technical, analytical, and management skills to deal with execution issues including due diligence, valuations, and post-transaction operational considerations.
  • Uses competitive analysis to evaluate, filter, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Prepares ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Supports, and documents the lifecycle of each portunity and project.
  • Partner with BD, R&D and J&J Innovation Centers to coordinate Partner interactions at key industry events (e.g., JP Morgan Conference, BIO, etc.) and may participate in partner discussions.
  • Manages the tracking of opportunities and alliances with regard to key decision/inflection points.
