The members of the Card Risk organization serve as strategic advisors to the lines of business - helping them to remain well-managed and supporting their continued growth, innovation, and success. As a Director on the Chief of Staff team, you will be responsible for leading high-impact strategic initiatives and acting as a force multiplier in supporting the executive leadership team, enabling leaders to execute strategic work while ensuring operational rigor. You will be accountable for overseeing high-priority strategic projects, shaping the workforce strategy, managing the budget, and developing executive-ready communications and presentations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 4 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience performing people management
  • At least 2 years of experience performing project management

  • Master’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • 1+ year of experience in consulting

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  • May manage and develop multiple analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level data modeling/analytics
  • Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
