About The Position

The Sales Strategy & Planning team connects our brands with customers, categories and shoppers, and is responsible for developing and informing our category and brand priorities, go-to-market plans and oversee the US P&L for assigned business segment. The Director, Sales Strategy & Planning leads strategic portfolio management planning to accelerate growth in the US market through close collaboration with our Global Brand and Sales teams, for their category portfolio and associated brands.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of consumer product brand and marketing management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably in children’s toys
  • 5+ Years of Sr. Brand Manager or Director Level Experience
  • College/University degree in Marketing or related field

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage all aspects of the Commercial plans and marketing strategy for the assigned brands, including category and brand positioning, product positioning, merchandising solutions, omni-channel planning and marketing strategy and approach
  • Manage the financial aspects of a portfolio of brands, including costing and pricing, P&L, marketing budget, forecasting, promotional opportunities, SKU rationalization and profitability analysis.
  • Leverage POS data, marketing performance, and competitive insights to drive commercial results across a portfolio of brands.
  • Manage relationship with external licensor partners and internal franchise teams on marketing plans, budgets, retail/commercial strategies, and creative approvals.
  • Participate in sales presentations and trade shows for US retailers and provide sales tools supporting successful sell-in of multiple brands.
  • Partner with US Sales team for US Customer specific plans – product offering, brand promotional guidelines, channel exclusives, sell-in strategy, feature space, and retail media
  • Partner with Marketing Activation team on strategies for social, influencer, and marketing execution.
  • Partner with Global Brand Teams to inform future season planning with commercial and category insights, volume recommendations and drive alignment on line plan prior to key stakeholder meetings
  • Lead a team of direct reports on plans, targets, workload and development.
  • Be a mentor within the wider business.
