About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the strategic, operational, financial, and clinical oversight of the behavioral health service line. This leader provides direction for behavioral health operations, integrated care models, program development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary team performance. The Director partners closely with medical leadership, primary care, specialty services, nursing, care management, hospital leaders and community agencies to ensure accessible, high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health services aligned with organizational goals. The Director promotes evidence-based practices, integrated behavioral health delivery, operational excellence, workforce development, and equitable access to mental health and substance use disorder services across the continuum. The Director will ensure a collaborative approach to clinical and operational excellence optimizing service delivery while aligning with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
