Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Director is responsible for providing leadership, support, and direction to Clinical/Administrative Managers for multiple Behavioral Health Programs that cover hospital inpatient and outpatient services and serve adult and pediatric populations. The Director is accountable to System AVP of Behavioral Health Services and System/Campus Leadership to ensure BHS programs meet the needs of the Health System and community consumers across the region. BHS Director is responsible for developing programs, solutions, systems, and processes that integrate a standard system approach in behavioral health care delivery across the organization, with the goal of facilitating behavioral health comprehensive screening/evaluations, effective treatment, and the BHS discharge process that includes safety planning at the hospital and outpatient levels of care. The Director ensures that Admin Staff and/or Leadership is accountable for all data related to each patient encounter in respective programs. BHS Director supports the multi-disciplinary team of Master’s prepared Clinicians, Psychiatrists, Managers, and Admin staff. The Director collaborates and directs leadership communication with members of Campus Medical Teams, Campus Executive Teams, Risk Management, Quality, Family Members, and Case Management and System Leaders. The Director is responsible for overseeing the development of systems and processes for process improvement in managing the flow of psychiatric information and activities among hospitals, community providers for inpatient and outpatient service delivery.
