About The Position

Provide operational leadership for Behavioral Health Care & Coordination Services, ensuring the effective delivery of integrated behavioral health, social work and service coordination services that achieve organizational, financial, quality, and client outcome objectives. Lead staff and service operations by establishing priorities, managing resources, driving quality improvement, ensuring compliance, and fostering collaboration to deliver coordinated, person-centered services for older adults.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work counseling or related field.
  • Must have unrestricted Ohio licensure as an Independent Social Worker with a Supervision designation.
  • Experience leading organizational change, quality improvement initiatives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in establishing productivity measures, monitoring performance metrics, and aligning operational practices with industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and funding compliance requirements.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with community partners, healthcare organizations, referral sources, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets, interpreting financial reports, and achieving operational and quality outcomes.
  • Ability to use data and performance metrics to drive operational decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Strong verbal, written, oral and electronic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook and Office) and electronic health record (EHR) software, database management and financial software support.
  • An insured car and valid Ohio driver’s license are required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in behavioral health including experience leading programs, supervising staff, managing operations, clinical supervision experience and improving service delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes that promote integrated service delivery, timely access to care, and a seamless client experience across programs.
  • Provide leadership for referral management processes to ensure timely response, appropriate triage, effective assignment, and coordinated transitions across Benjamin Rose programs and services.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and service areas to strengthen referral pathways, reduce barriers to access, improve service utilization, and enhance client experience.
  • Develop and maintain community referral networks by identifying, cultivating, and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other referral partners to increase access to behavioral health and care coordination services.
  • Provide oversight of service coordination contracts by ensuring contractual obligations, service standards, reporting requirements, and performance outcomes are achieved.
  • Develop and implement meaningful productivity measures that reflect industry standards, support workforce planning, and promote efficient, high-quality service delivery.
  • Partner with academic institutions and training programs to support student placements, internships, and the development of future behavioral health and social service professionals.
  • Promote collaboration among interdisciplinary teams and encourage effective communication across service areas.
  • Assess community and client needs and contribute to the development and enhancement of programs and services.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives, committees, and cross-functional projects that advance Benjamin Rose’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the Benjamin Rose Institute to integrate research findings and evidence-informed practices into behavioral health and care coordination services to improve outcomes, strengthen effectiveness, and support innovation.
  • Demonstrate financial stewardship by managing resources effectively, overseeing budgets, interpreting financial information and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and sustainability.
  • Provide effective leadership by developing high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring employees, managing performance and accountability, fostering engagement, communicating clearly and transparently, leading change, exercising sound decision-making, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, community partners, referral sources, and external stakeholders to strengthen services, support organizational priorities, and advance the mission.
  • Leads effective and compliant operations by overseeing programs, applying quality improvement practices, using data to inform decisions, implementing best practices, improving processes, and effectively managing operational responsibilities and resources.
  • Advance program growth and sustainability by identifying emerging needs and opportunities, improving services and practices, pursuing innovation and implementing strategies that align with organizational goals.
