About The Position

This is a newly created, highly visible role at Euromonitor International, a leading market intelligence company. As the Director of API & Integrations, you will be responsible for the access layer through which Euromonitor's data reaches enterprise clients, partners, and AI systems programmatically and at scale. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will define the strategy, execute the roadmap, and establish API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) access as a primary product line. The role involves making Euromonitor's global data available through well-governed, commercially aligned interfaces that are easy to integrate and build agents upon. Over time, this role is expected to grow into a dedicated API & Ecosystem team, encompassing developer experience, partner integrations, agentic/MCP access, and usage monetization.

Requirements

Proven experience owning the roadmap and backlog for API, data, or platform products, ideally with external partners and integrations.
Strong working understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication standards (OAuth 2.1, SAML/OIDC), webhooks, SDKs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol and the broader agentic landscape, including AI assistants like Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
Comfort working with large, structured datasets and an appreciation for data quality, lineage, and entitlement.
Experience shaping the packaging, pricing, and monetization of platform or data-access capabilities, and reasoning about usage-based models.
Track record of partnering with security and engineering on access control, rate limiting, and audit.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience operating as a product owner within agile/scrum teams.

Responsibilities

Own the product vision and roadmap for Euromonitor's API and MCP ecosystem, prioritizing data domains and endpoints for exposure.
Manage the operating rhythm with Engineering scrum teams, including backlog prioritization, user stories, acceptance criteria, and trade-offs.
Champion developer experience by owning documentation, SDKs, the developer sandbox, authentication, and onboarding.
Drive measurable adoption of the API and MCP ecosystem.
Govern the data access layer by partnering with Information Security on authentication, rate limiting, entitlement enforcement, and audit logging.
Shape the commercial model for API and MCP access in collaboration with Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams.
Build usage-analytics infrastructure and deliver a quarterly ecosystem scorecard to the executive team.
