Oracle is seeking a Director of Annual Planning and Sales Model Design to fundamentally redesign annual go-to-market planning and lead the design of its global sales model. This role will determine customer segmentation, sales coverage allocation, and the alignment of roles and selling motions to segment needs and growth potential. The position connects the Global Field Organization’s long-term growth strategy to an executable annual plan, integrating customer opportunity, sales capacity, productivity, investment, and field readiness into a coherent process. The mandate includes diagnosis, design, executive alignment, implementation, and ongoing improvement across regions and businesses. The ideal candidate is a leader who has built and implemented major go-to-market (GTM) changes in a complex technology business, challenging assumptions, making clear recommendations on trade-offs, and remaining accountable for improvements in customer coverage, seller effectiveness, and growth. The role involves redesigning the annual GTM planning process end-to-end, rebuilding it from strategic choices through fiscal-year launch in alignment with the President of the Global Field Organization. This includes diagnosing current weaknesses, defining the future approach, and leading a sequenced transformation with clear ownership and measurable outcomes. The position integrates market opportunity, segmentation, coverage, role design, capacity, territories, quota methodology, and investment decisions, aligning Marketing, Partners, Customer Success, Finance, HR, Sales Compensation, and regional Sales Operations around shared assumptions and dependencies. It connects annual decisions to a multiyear growth view, reconciling leadership targets with customer potential and achievable field capacity, quantifying gaps, testing alternatives, and recommending investments, resource redeployments, or model changes. The role owns the global planning calendar, decision rights, executive reviews, approval milestones, and exception processes, establishing common data definitions and planning standards with criteria for justified regional variation. Finally, it leads deployment with execution teams, ensuring account assignments, territories, roles, targets, systems, and field communications are reconciled and ready for the fiscal year, using post-launch reviews to improve subsequent cycles.
