About The Position

The Legal and Government Affairs (LGA) team at CoreWeave is highly collaborative and partners closely with teams across the company to navigate complex legal landscapes while enabling innovation and growth. The team is pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and deeply engaged in strategic decision-making, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships across the organization. CoreWeave is seeking a Director and Managing Associate General Counsel, Commercial – Americas to lead the legal team supporting the Americas Global Field Organization (GFO) and its enterprise sales of cloud products and services. Reporting to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, Global Commercial & Business Operations, this role requires an experienced people manager with a demonstrated record of leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing commercial legal team. This leader will position the team to keep pace with a fast-moving and growing sales organization, drive successful business outcomes, and serve as the primary legal partner to the VP of Americas GFO and their leadership team. The role also requires a hands-on approach, including directly supporting complex cloud SaaS and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) customer transactions, and strengthening collaboration with colleagues across LGA, Sales, Product, Security, Privacy, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.

Requirements

  • J.D. and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including negotiating complex commercial technology agreements (SaaS, cloud, IaaS, or similar), including data protection, security, and privacy provisions
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of commercial lawyers, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior business executives, with strong business judgment
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of working and orchestrating effectively across multiple stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
  • A pragmatic, "roll up your sleeves" approach to both managing a team while also personally engaging on multiple deals

  • This position requires access to export controlled information. Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of commercial lawyers supporting the fast-paced and rapidly growing Americas GFO sales organization
  • Serve as primary legal counsel and trusted advisor to the VP of Americas GFO and their leadership team, helping shape and execute go-to-market and sales strategies
  • Provide hands-on support on multiple concurrent transactions, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing complex commercial transactions, including SaaS, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and professional services agreements with enterprise customers and strategic partners
  • Drive operational efficiency for a fast-moving sales organization
  • Collaborate with LGA subject-matter experts, outside counsel, and business stakeholders across Product, Security, Privacy, Finance, and Operations to structure transactions, manage risk, and resolve deal obstacles
  • Develop and improve repeatable playbooks, templates, policies, and processes to improve deal velocity and consistency that enable efficient and scalable support for a rapidly moving business
  • Partner with the broader legal organization on cross-initiatives, knowledge-sharing, and best practices
  • Establish clear expectations, provide meaningful coaching and feedback, and support the professional development of team members
