About The Position

Stratagon is a growth and marketing agency partnering with higher education institutions, agriculture organizations, and a range of other clients to build strategy, marketing, and technology work that moves the needle. We operate with the pace and mindset of a startup: fast decisions, real ownership, and a bias toward building rather than maintaining. We are not looking for a caretaker. We are looking for a builder, someone who sees an underbuilt delivery function as an opportunity, not a problem to be managed around. This role owns delivery across our marketing services, creative, and sales enablement teams and exists because we are actively constructing the systems, standards, and team structure that will let this agency scale. You will be enhancing and managing the reporting, the resourcing model, and the delivery discipline within an agency with significant past performance yet high expectations and goals. This is a role for someone with a consultant's mind, someone who can walk into ambiguity, diagnose what is actually broken, and build the fix, rather than waiting to be handed a fully scoped project. You will need to influence externally, sitting in front of clients and prospects when delivery credibility matters to a deal, and internally, rallying a team of leads and specialists around a way of working that does not fully exist yet. You should thrive on the challenge of building something new, and you should genuinely enjoy leading a team through that climb and into the win on the other side.

Requirements

• 7 or more years leading service delivery, project management, or agency operations, including at least 3 years leading other leaders
• A track record of building systems and functions, not just running ones that already existed when you arrived
• HubSpot prefered, or comparable platform fluency
• A consultant's instinct for diagnosing what is broken and building a practical fix
• Fluency in both waterfall and agile or iterative delivery, and the judgment to know which fits a given engagement
• Experience running a mixed internal and contractor or partner delivery model

Nice To Haves

• PMP or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Build delivery outcomes across all Agency Services functions from the ground up, so requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality are owned, not just tracked
• Build and stand up program-level reporting on utilization, resourcing, and project health where none exists today
• Lead and grow our centralized Project Management function, pushing ownership beyond scheduling into risk, issue, and change management
• Lead our Creative and Marketing and Sales Enablement teams, building a standardized, predictable delivery cadence
• Partner with our Technology practice so multi-function engagements deliver one coherent plan, not two
• Build our work breakdown structure and estimation standards for repeatable engagements
• Build a pre-vetted bench of contractors and partner firms so we can flex capacity without carrying idle overhead
• Influence clients and prospects directly when delivery capability and credibility are part of winning the deal
• Influence and rally your direct reports and cross-functional peers around new ways of working, not just new org charts
