The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medical Education has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Director, Admissions to work in Miami, FL. The Director, Admissions oversees student admissions policies and practices and reviews department operations to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Further, the Director, Admissions works with faculty and staff to recruit and admit exceptional students to assigned program(s) to further the University’s mission and goals. Additionally, the incumbent leads the development and implementation of short- and long-term goals for recruitment and admission processes. The Director of Admissions leads the operational execution of the admissions process for the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program and all joint and dual degree pathways at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. The Director of Admissions reports to the Associate Dean of Admissions and the Executive Director of Medical Education. They work in close partnership with the Admissions Committee and translates the school's mission-based selection criteria into fair, consistent, and legally sound practice across the full applicant lifecycle, from initial inquiry through matriculation. This is a key leadership position accountable for building durable systems and procedures, supervising and developing the admissions team, recruiting and enrolling a highly qualified class that reflects the communities the Miller School serves, and safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism of every admissions decision. The Director serves as the school's operational expert on AAMC application protocols, holistic review practice, and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation requirements governing medical student selection.
