Naval Radars is a portfolio area within the Naval Power, Naval Systems & Sustainment sub-strategic business unit, providing exceptional solutions in sensors and effector integration for the United States and its allies. We are currently seeking a Director of Program Management to lead the SPY-6 Production Programs, Above Deck Equipment. This is an onsite position located at our Tewksbury, MA facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.
  • Prior Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for production focused programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Opportunity Management, Estimate at Completions (EACs), etc.
  • Prior Experience supporting / leading proposal activity and capture experience.
  • Program Management Level 2 Certified or ability to achieve certification within 1 year.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Demonstrated program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy, focused on production execution, to grow and expand the portfolio.
  • Communicate strategy and vision to gain buy-in from senior leaders across the business; secure resources to execute the strategy; and continually assess/evolve the strategy to meet changing business and environmental demands.
  • Work closely with the SPY-6 and Naval Radars LT on myriad of leadership tasks and business initiatives including but not limited to short- and long-term goal setting; long-range financial planning; and organizational development.
  • Program Leader responsible for execution, staff development, critical Integrated Product Team and Control Account Manager across all portfolio contracts to meet cost and schedule commitments.
  • Execute with Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) and lead engineering staff across multiple functions to improve efficiency with actionable metrics that achieve goals and increased availability.
  • Interface directly with the customer representatives Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to collaborate on the direction of the program.
  • Lead assessment and corrective action on the performance of the program through analysis of current earned value and technical metrics.
  • Interface with senior Raytheon portfolio leadership to report status, represent the program and customer needs, and advocate for the portfolio of products.
  • Display strong communication, influence management, and presentation skills, and comfortably interact with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
