About The Position

Rex is hiring a Director of Acquisitions & Transactions to lead multifamily deals across its private equity real estate platform. This hands-on role owns the full deal lifecycle, from sourcing and the first broker call through underwriting, structuring, contracting, due diligence, closing, ownership handoff, refinancing, and exit. The Director coordinates brokers, sellers, lenders, equity partners, counsel, and Rex’s acquisitions, capital formation, asset management, and property management teams, keeping stakeholders aligned and protecting critical dates. The role is responsible for sourcing opportunities, assessing and negotiating transactions, arranging debt and equity before LOI execution, commanding diligence, and closing deals cleanly. It also involves resolving troubled transactions, driving refinances and dispositions, handing closed deals to asset and property management, and monitoring execution against the business plan and original underwriting. The Director will build and maintain a repeatable deal system, including diligence checklists, critical-date calendars, closing protocols, handoff standards, and post-mortems, while coaching rising deal professionals to run transactions independently. Rex describes this as a high-impact driver role requiring strong execution, judgment, attention to detail, relationship skills, and alignment with the company’s mission of catalyzing human flourishing through disciplined stewardship of real estate. The position is fully remote.
