Director - Academic Affairs
About The Position
This position ensures that Tenet Health Hospitals provide a structured, safe and conducive learning environment for our academic affairs which includes Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), Continuing Medical Education (CME), and Clinical Research. Playing a key role in shaping the clinical education experience for our graduate medical education, physicians, and medical students by ensuring high quality educational opportunities. The role oversees the development, execution, and growth of clinical research operations, including industry-sponsored studies, investigator-initiated research, and collaborative academic partnerships. Serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and is accountable for research quality, financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic growth.
Requirements
- Experience in academic affairs, including Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), Continuing Medical Education (CME), and Clinical Research.
- Experience in shaping clinical education.
- Experience overseeing clinical research operations (industry-sponsored studies, investigator-initiated research, academic partnerships).
- Experience advising executive leadership.
- Accountability for research quality, financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
