The Director Sales and Trading TDS develops the Banks Sales, Trading, & Underwritings in New York, ensuring positions are within approved limits while maintaining and enhancing the Banks profile and market share. This role involves liaising with other operations in New York to assist in meeting the Banks objectives, strictly adhering to firm procedures, and staying fully informed on market data, economic information, key industry developments, and regulatory standards to maximize profitability. The Director will develop and maintain contacts with market participants, practice and communicate bank policy information and strategy, and ensure transactions are documented and processed accurately and in a timely manner. A key aspect of this role is understanding and complying with TD Securities (USA) Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, and approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews SBRs). For Traders or those in Hybrid roles, adherence to the Trading Authority Letter (TAL) and Market Risk Policies is required, along with timely trade entry and accurate position valuation. Sales or Hybrid role holders must obtain current market prices before entering binding transactions and are bound by Credit Risk Policies and procedures. Reading and understanding the Trading Supervision Standard and demonstrating governance, control, and risk management behaviors are also essential.
