About The Position

LJ Inc. is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator to operate directional drilling equipment and support construction work. The role includes inspecting, greasing, and fueling equipment; preparing machinery and confirming safe ground conditions before drilling or boring; monitoring equipment; installing conduit; and assisting with potholing, remediation, and setting hand holes. The operator accesses construction points as needed, reads and interprets engineering plans, and maintains a safe, clean workspace, including company equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Ability to push and pull objects and carry or lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Safety-oriented.
• Valid, unrestricted chauffeur's license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspections, greasing, fueling, and safe machine operation duties.
• Set up machinery and ensure ground conditions are safe before drilling or boring.
• Monitor equipment operation effectively.
• Operate directional drilling equipment in accordance with blueprints and plans.
• Install conduit.
• Assist in potholing, remediation, and setting hand holes.
• Access construction points as required.
• Read and interpret engineering plans.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace, including company equipment and vehicles.
