About The Position

Wood is seeking a Directing Technical Professional (Facilities) to join their Pipeline Services Team in Austin. This role is responsible for assuring construction activities comply with the Engineering/Design aspects of the facility, maintaining clear communication among the client, project management team, construction staff, and client management. The position also directs the Quality Control of all construction activities, fosters strong working relationships, and ensures all reporting and document controls are accurate and timely. A key focus is monitoring project control reporting and forecasting, and ensuring all activities are executed safely to achieve an incident-free project. The role involves managing all quality aspects of the construction project and conducting communications to ensure efficient project execution.

Requirements

Ten years construction and construction management experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good ability in oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assure Construction activities result in compliance of Engineering/Design aspects of the facility.
Maintain communications with client, project management team and construction staff.
Maintain communications with Client Management and Constructor organization.
Direct the Quality Control of all construction activities.
Maintain strong working relationships between project team, construction contractor and client project management.
Direct all written communication between all Project Management staffing to assure all events are known by all involved.
Assure all reporting and document controls are accurate and compliant with timely delivery of information.
Monitor project control reporting and forecasting are consistent with construction activities.
Assure all project activities are executed to result in a safe manner to guarantee a 100% incident free project.
Manage all elements of the construction project from a quality standpoint.
Conduct communication with project team members to assure clear understanding of the tasks required to confirm an efficient project execution.
