About The Position

The National Medical Education Manager leads the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality medical education initiatives across Canada, ensuring alignment with scientific evidence, company priorities, and Canadian regulatory standards. This role is primarily focused on dermatology (80%), with additional support across other therapeutic areas (20%). The Manager delivers evidence-based, unbiased educational programs that support healthcare professionals’ (HCP) learning, practice improvement, and improved patient outcomes. All activities align with accredited and non-accredited education standards in Canada and Organon’s medical and business objectives. This position is national in scope and works closely with head office-based teams in Kirkland (Montreal), Quebec. The role is eligible for remote work, provided the incumbent is regularly available during Eastern Time (Montreal) business hours. The incumbent will demonstrate strong ethics and a solid understanding of the environment governing our industry as he/she will be expected to complete his/her tasks in a manner fully consistent with Organon’s Code of conduct, policies, procedures, industry standards and all laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, healthcare-related, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical education within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design, development, and delivery of medical education programs for healthcare professionals.
  • Strong understanding of Health Canada regulations, accreditation standards, and industry compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget and vendor management.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as the role supports stakeholders across Canada including interacting with various key opinion leaders, medical societies, and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting medical education strategy for new product launches is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify educational gaps and unmet needs among healthcare professionals using market insights, scientific literature, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical education programs, including symposia, speaker programs, educational materials, and other learning initiatives.
  • Lead medical education strategy and execution for the launch of new products with a novel mechanism of action, translating complex scientific concepts into clear, evidence-based education that supports HCP understanding.
  • Build and manage effective relationships with key opinion leaders, medical societies, and external partners to ensure credible and impactful educational content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure educational activities are compliant, scientifically sound, and strategically aligned.
  • Manage budgets and resources for national medical education initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective utilization.
  • Represent Organon Canada at national and international scientific meetings, engaging healthcare professionals and gathering insights to inform future education.
  • Engage with dermatology thought leaders and faculty to identify dermatology specific learning needs, integrate insights into the medical education strategy, and develop creative, engaging high-quality dermatology educational programs that support clinical practice.
  • Serve as a medical education subject matter expert, contributing to initiatives across key Organon therapeutic areas and partnering with cross-functional teams to provide guidance, strategic input, and support for bilingual (English/French) educational content.
  • Act as a trusted internal advisor on medical education, enabling agile execution while ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations, accreditation standards, Organon policies, and industry guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external experts, and educational partners.
