About The Position

This is a summer term position for individuals passionate about working with youth ages 13-21. The role involves affecting positive impact in the lives of those who require additional support. The position runs from July 6 to August 21, with daytime shifts Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check

Nice To Haves

• Education, training and/or demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with youth who require additional support is preferred
• WEVAS or NVCI training
• ASL knowledge

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, respectful and fun environment for youth requiring additional support
• Develop warm, caring and responsive relationships with youth and their parents/caregivers
• Engage in recreational and leisure activities with participants
