This is a FULL-TIME ONLY position, requiring 35-40 hours per week. Available shifts are 2nd and 3rd. A separate application is required for substitute positions. The Direct Support Trainer will provide services and support to individuals with ASD, focusing on social and communication challenges. This role involves working cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, parents, and guardians, ensuring individual confidentiality and rights are upheld. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and assignments. Responsibilities include implementing individual care plans, collecting data, assisting individuals with behavioral and work-related issues, developing schedules using TEACCH methods, performing task analysis, documenting progress, maintaining a safe training environment, monitoring behavior modification programs, encouraging independence and self-advocacy, attending required trainings, administering medications and CPR/First Aid if applicable, writing incident reports, and complying with agency policies and regulations. The role also involves participating in site drills, food preparation according to diet orders, assisting with appointments and transportation, fostering a positive work environment, setting up structured activities, working in various outdoor elements, providing customer service, completing paperwork and billing, assisting with daily living tasks, caring for animals and gardens as needed, and assisting with site operations. The Direct Support Trainer must comply with GHA policies and all applicable state and federal regulations.
