About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals for its program in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals in achieving their goals and building independence. Following each individual’s Support Plan, employees work in a variety of settings and encourage, mentor, and coach individuals while supporting social and communication skills. Duties also include assistance with daily hygiene and personal care, and teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The listed pay rate is $18.75 per hour with election of the Enhanced Pay option. Available shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
