About The Position
Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Coraopolis, PA. This role is within the Home and Community Division and is ideal for compassionate and reliable individuals looking to start a meaningful career in human services. No experience is required as paid training is provided. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work alongside a passionate team to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities. This includes personal care, housekeeping, and community engagement. You will be a mentor, coach, and advocate, making a difference in the lives of others by assisting with activities like trips to the park and helping individuals achieve personal goals.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Related experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
- Provide community support, transportation
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
