About The Position

The Direct Support Professional provides critical services to the people supported by Karis Disability Services and works to ensure that people belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and respected. The Direct Support Professional seeks to enhance relationships, promote citizenship, value people’s gifts, recognize self-determination, encourage growth and development, and recognize the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value. They assist with activities of daily living and promote life development as outlined in person-centered plans. This is done through collaboration with their team, families, advocates, friends, and community partners. The Direct Support Professional completes administrative duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. The Direct Support Professional helps build communities of belonging in accordance to the core Values of Karis Disability Services: Valuing People, Fostering Belonging, Serving Others and Respecting Gifts. Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months experience with behavior intervention.

  • Full G driver's license preferred.
