Direct Support Professional-Permanent Full-time
About The Position
This posting is for a permanent Full-time (40 hour), Direct Support Professional. It requires morning and evening shift work rotation and every other weekend with occasional Night awake shifts. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.
Requirements
- Permanent Full-time (40 hour)
- Morning and evening shift work rotation
- Every other weekend work
- Occasional Night awake shifts
Nice To Haves
- 3-6 Months Work Experience
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
