About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team at their Bala Cynwyd, PA location. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to create long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The position involves working in various settings, following Individual Support Plans to engage individuals in activities like visiting parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills, and enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. The role also includes teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
