About The Position

Devereux California is a local and national nonprofit providing residential, supported living, vocational, and clinical services to adults with developmental disabilities throughout Santa Barbara County. Located in both Goleta and Santa Barbara CA, these positions are responsible for ensuring the safety of our individuals while supporting them with self-help skills designed to encourage independence. We are currently recruiting for the following positions: Direct Support Professionals - Residential Services - FT & PT - Starting Pay $19/hr Certified Nursing Assistants - Residental Services - FT & PT - Starting Pay $21/hr Direct Support Professional II Somerset - Residential Services - FT & PT - Starting Pay $21/hr (DOE) Direct Support Professional II Foothill - Residential Services - FT & PT - Starting Pay $28/hr (DOE) Personal Attendants - Supported Living Services - FT & PT - Starting Pay $19/hr ($16.90 for overnight asleep positions) Cook - Food Services - FT - Starting Pay $21/hr (DOE) (No weekends! Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm) Maintenance & Facilities Specialist - FT - Startig Pay $22/hr (DOE) (No weekends! Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm)

Requirements

Valid CDL and clean driving record
Must be able to pass thorough background checks & Livescan
High School Diploma or GED
The ability to work a minimum of three shifts per week for PT positions (18/24 hours depending on program)
One weekend shift per week required
Must be willing to work with aggressive and/or challenging behaviors (paid training upon hire)

Responsibilities

Assisting, instructing, and supporting our individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, bill pay, and grocery shopping
Accompanying our individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities, as directed
Assisting with hygiene care
Other duties, as directed
