Or anyone with IDD experience who enjoys supporting Children, Teens and Adults as they work towards their goals of independence! You'll provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build confidence, gain independence, and achieve goals they never thought possible. We are currently hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Apex, Cary, Raleigh and surrounding areas
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to appointments and activities
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional or Teacher/ Teaching Assistant highly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
- Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
- Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
- Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible
