About The Position

BAYADA is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to help individuals build confidence, gain independence, and achieve their goals. The position is available in Apex, Cary, Raleigh, and surrounding areas, with flexible part-time schedules, including after-school hours. Ideal candidates may have experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional, or Teacher/Teaching Assistant, or possess experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to appointments and activities

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
• Experience as a Behavioral Technician (BT)
• Experience as a Paraprofessional
• Experience as a Teacher/Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible
