About The Position

Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking experienced Direct Care staff to work in small residential group homes within our Meadows Homes located in Southwick, MA. These homes serve adults with intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities, with each home accommodating 2-5 residents. The role involves assisting residents with various daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, community outings, administering medications, and providing comprehensive personal care.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (all drivers under the age of 21 must have 1 year of driving history).
• Willingness to provide personal care to residents served.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting people with behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges is preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals that have medical and/or behavioral complexities highly preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and MAP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals with behavioral challenges using positive, person-centered approaches.
• Promote independence, community engagement, and skill development.
• Administer medications and follow individualized care plans (training provided as required).
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
