About The Position

Wendell Foster is interested in hiring energetic Direct Support Professionals for our Intermediate Care Facility to join the team of #DifferenceMakers! This role involves supporting individuals with their direct care needs, ensuring their safety and well-being, and upholding their rights with respect and dignity.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Possession of valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Currently possess or able to complete first aid and CPR certification (training provided)
Communicate well with others including staff and our individuals
Frequently lift and/or move 50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move 75lbs while assisting a person with movement or direct care

Responsibilities

Support our individuals direct care needs including, but not limited to: Getting dressed, assisting with baths and showering, toileting and hygiene needs, feeding, Assist with walking and/or wheelchair mobility, occasionally preparing meals and snacks per dietary card
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
Understand individual’s rights and display respect and dignity when interacting with individuals.
