About The Position

Resiliency Manor is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team for part-time weekend positions. As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them develop greater independence, participate in their communities, and work toward their individual goals. This is a meaningful weekend work opportunity where you can make a difference in someone’s life.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Basic computer and internet skills
Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation in English
Ability to complete all required training, including CPR, First Aid, and other assigned training
Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree
Previous experience in human services, intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health, residential services, or direct care

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and support to individuals according to their Individual Support Plans and Behavioral Support Plans.
Assist with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, household cleaning, shopping, and other daily needs.
Encourage individuals to develop skills that promote greater independence and quality of life.
Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, day programs, family visits, and other activities as needed.
Support individuals in developing relationships and becoming active members of their communities.
Administer medications in accordance with program requirements and applicable training.
Provide trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive residential environment.
Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations while following established policies and procedures.
Complete required documentation, including daily logs, medication records, goal documentation, incident reports, and other program records.
Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the needs and goals of each individual are met.
Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
