DSP Day Program (Per-Diem) - Brooklyn
About The Position
AHRC New York City is seeking compassionate and dedicated Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our adult day programs. This role is based in Brooklyn Programs. The pay rate is $20 per hour, and the schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (30 hours a week). This is a Per-Diem position with the potential to become Full-Time with Full Benefits based on performance. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, staff, and community agencies.
Nice To Haves
- Experience personal of professional working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver services is a plus.
- Understanding of Person-Centered Planning.

- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
