About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in Centre County, PA. As a DSP, you will work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) to help them live more independent, purposeful, and better lives. You will teach them to do things for themselves, assist with personal care, accompany them on errands and appointments, participate in hobbies and activities, assist with meal preparation, and engage in community integration activities.

Requirements

• One year experience working or volunteering with intellectual and development disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, basic hygiene)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
