About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are sought to join Merakey's team at their program in Richmond, VA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with evaluations based on observation, resident responsiveness, and reports. The role aims to enhance independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
