Residential DSP - PT(Sundays and Mondays :5pm to 10pm)
About The Position
P.I.L.O.T. Services is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Under new leadership, the organization emphasizes a "We Care" approach focused on teamwork, respect, and creating engaging experiences. This role is ideal for compassionate, reliable individuals who enjoy helping others and being active in the community. The DSP will help individuals enjoy meaningful weekends while promoting independence and personal growth. Additional hours may be available based on coverage needs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- A verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
- A valid New Jersey auto driver's license with less than 5 points; probationary not accepted
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible, patient, and engaging
Nice To Haves
- Experience in human services is a plus
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required/preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities
- Assist with personal care and daily living skills as needed
- Transport individuals to community outings, recreational activities, and appointments
- Plan and participate in activities such as arts & crafts, games, cooking, and outings
- Support social engagement through trips, events, and community involvement
- Maintain accurate daily documentation using our Electronic Health Record system (THERAP)
- Work collaboratively with team members to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment
