About The Position
The Casual Direct Support Professional provides call-in or back-fill support to people supported. They assist with activities of daily living and work within the protocols of the location. They work with other employees on shift to provide supports and services to people. This is a high intensity location with multiple physical, aggressive behaviours occurring at the same time. The successful candidate must have proven experience supporting multiple people with high behavior needs. Working within Karis Disability Services Service Principles, the Relief Support considers each person’s intrinsic value.
Requirements
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
