About The Position

Fraser is hiring motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) to work Full or Part-time with clients in a group setting within group homes and apartments with a flexible biweekly schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about using their abilities to provide high-quality care and make a lasting impact on the lives of adults and families with diverse needs. Fraser deeply values its DSP’s and takes pride in helping develop entry-level employees into professionals. As a Float DSP, you will provide temporary direct support, including excellent supervision and support for individuals receiving Community Living services and their families by effectively implementing service plans. Float DSPs must be able to work in multiple locations and times on Saturday and Sunday, with schedules potentially changing at the last minute, though schedules will be created a month ahead of time. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-secondary coursework preferred for Float DSP positions. Fraser is Minnesota’s leader in autism, mental health, and disability services — and one of the few Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in the state. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable record (non-driving roles also available).
  • Ability to pass DHS background study.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion with focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness, and reflection.

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
  • Money management

  • Personal cares (such as bathing, toileting, feeding, etc.) in the group homes
  • Meal preparation (must be willing to handle all types of food)
  • Planning and transportation to/from activities
  • Community integration
  • Provide temporary direct support, including providing excellent supervision and support for individuals receiving Community Living services and their families by effectively implementing service plans
