Responsibilities

  • Provide quality care to clients in the residential program under the direct supervision of the Residential Supervisor (RS).
  • Assist in the provision of direct care, support, and supervision of clients according to standard procedures and individual treatment plans.
  • Document client activities accurately and timely.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for clients.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner according to the daily schedule.
  • Maintain working knowledge of client location, level of engagement, and utilize proper intervention techniques to maximize participation.
  • Maintain positive communication channels with the Clinical Nurse and/or therapist(s) via direct supervisor(s) regarding client care, treatment plan implementation, and strategies.
  • Assist with food service in accordance with standards, licensing requirements, and dietary needs.
  • Provide transportation to and from community-based activities and appointments as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, including active involvement in facility infection control.
  • Assist and teach clients personal care skills, daily living skills, and interpersonal skills in accordance with individual treatment plans.
  • Complete shift reports, including verbal reports on behavior issues, new employees/clients, occurrence reports/injuries, and schedule changes.
