As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you bring that culture to life every day. As a DSP, you’ll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting—helping them live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Requirements

  • A genuine interest in helping others live fulfilling, independent lives
  • Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow plans and maintain attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a team-based, structured environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role
  • Basic technology skills for documentation and communication
  • Ability to obtain and maintain AMAP certification
  • Keep all trainings current
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in human services or working with people with disabilities is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, person-centered support
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities (personal care, meals, hygiene, mobility)
  • Support people in building independence and life skills
  • Follow individualized service plans that reflect each person’s goals and preferences
  • Encourage choice, voice, and active participation in daily routines
  • Develop positive, respectful relationships with the people you support
  • Support participation in community activities, social events, and personal interests
  • Promote culturally responsive, person-centered experiences
  • Administer medications (with AMAP certification) and monitor health needs
  • Recognize and respond to changes in behavior or medical status
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and report incidents as required
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation
  • Track daily activities, progress, and outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Follow schedules and program expectations consistently
