About The Position
People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals in Ventura County. This role involves empowering adults with developmental disabilities to achieve independence and participate in life goals. The position focuses on building genuine relationships and acting as a cheerleader for individuals in supported living and independent living service programs. PCS has been a leader in providing services for adults with developmental disabilities for over 20 years, with a mission to offer opportunities for career, education, and life goals.
Requirements
- Compassionate with a person-centered mindset
- Warm, respectful, and professional demeanor
- Capable of communication with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments
- A valid driver’s license
- Responsible, and can document goal progress tracking with detail

Responsibilities
- Assist participants with living independently
- Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, budget management, and light household duties
- Assist with traveling to doctors appointments
- Following care plans and helping participants achieve their personal goals
- Encourage healthy habits, studies, hobbies, and social activities
- Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required)
- Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant, staff and management
- Document shift and communication logs
