Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are sought to join the team at Merakey's program in Virginia Beach, VA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager, with reviews based on living area observation, resident responsiveness, inspection of living areas, reports, and periodic meetings. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
