About The Position
Horizons Residential Care Center is hiring Weekend Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential home environment. This role is ideal for supplemental income, offers a consistent weekend schedule, and provides an opportunity to grow into full-time employment.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to complete required training
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving, DSP, or healthcare
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily routines (meals, hygiene, activities)
- Encourage independence and skill-building
- Assist with community engagement and social activities
- Maintain a clean, safe home environment
- Document care and daily progress
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
