About The Position

Clarvida is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Lincoln City, Oregon, to provide compassionate, person-centered care and skills training to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or cognitive health challenges. The role helps individuals live safely, build independence, and participate meaningfully in their communities while following individualized support plans. It is hands-on and relationship-driven, with a focus on dignity, safety, and quality of life through daily support, skill-building, and consistent care. The position is described as on call, with work availability including weekends, evenings, and daytime, and is also listed as full-time. Work takes place in on-site and community-based settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, support, and skills training to individuals served.
• Foster positive, respectful relationships with individuals and team members.
• Ensure safety and maintain a clean, supportive living environment.
• Assist with self-administration of medications after proper training.
• Support daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and routines.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, feeding, and cleanup.
• Accompany individuals to approved appointments and errands, when an approved driver.
• Support social skill development and community integration.
• Follow individualized support plans and program guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
