AHRC New York City is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full -Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Bronx residences. DATE & TIME : Wednesday June 3rd ,2026 from 10AM-1PM LOCATION : Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates. POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: 40HR Day shift: 3pm-11pm ...Drivers license Required 40HR Day Shift: 7am-3pm .....Drivers license Required PAY RATE : $20.00 - $20.36 per hour depending on position and driving status . Requirements
- Drivers license Required
- Weekend availability needed for all positions listed!
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills.
- Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
Nice To Haves
- High school education/GED, preferred.
Responsibilities
- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
