About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring for multiple roles serving people in Austin, Bertram, Cedar Park, and Bastrop, Texas. Direct Support Professionals work with people who need assistance, including people with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs, providing person-centered support that helps them live as independently as possible. The role involves documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with internal and external team members. No experience is required for Direct Support Professionals. The hiring event also includes openings for Float Direct Support Professionals and Program Supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Person-centered, patient, and kind.
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible.
• Observant and detail oriented.
• Able to serve as a positive role model and work on a team.
• Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment.
• Computer skills for documentation.
• Valid driver’s license because the role may involve transporting people served.
• Some positions or locations may require a personal vehicle and auto-liability insurance.
• Successful background clearance required as part of onboarding/employment.
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
• No experience required for Direct Support Professional openings.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to people who need assistance, including people with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs.
• Support people in living as independently as possible.
